An alternative to cutting down a tree is to transplant/relocate the tree.

Trees can be recycled.  Trees and branches can be disposed for composting at your local transfer station's greenwaste only area.

How do I recycle it?
  • The maximum sized branch accepted at Transfer Stations is 150mm (about 6 inches).  The size restriction is related to the capacity of the mobile chipper technical specifications.

Cabbage trees and flaxes are not accepted at the greenwaste only facilities.  These plants may damage the mobile chipping equipment - as they become like rope when shredded.     The next best practical option for disposing of cabbage trees and flaxes is the regional landfill through your local transfer station in the general waste area.
