Reduce

You can reduce the need for purchasing cooking equipment by

  • Hire catering equipment.  Check out Catering Equipment and Supplies agents listed in the yellow pages.
  • Borrow from friends and family
  • Purchase pre-loved cooking equipment from secondhand store. Check out the Secondhand Dealers listed in the yellow pages.

Repair

Rather than throwing out the broken equipment, why not see if it can be repaired?  Check out Home Appliance and Servicing agents listed in the yellow pages.

Also visit your local secondhand store, as they may have that microwave glass plate or fridge shelf to fit your item.

Reuse

Here is a suggestion on what else you can do with your cooking equipment

  • Pots and pans could be remade into planters - simply drill drainage holes into the bottom of the pot and add dirt and plants.

Recycle

Some cooking equipment can be recycled.

Disposal

If the cooking equipment cannot be reused or recycled, the next best practical option is disposal to the regional landfill through your local rubbish collection.

Where do I dispose of it?
  • Local refuse service
