Reduce

You can reduce the need to purchase new baby products by

  • Borrow from a friend or family member
  • Purchase pre-loved baby products from second-hand stores.  Check out the Secondhand Dealers  and Clothing - secondhand  agents listed in the yellow pages
  • Car seats can be hired from the Plunket Society 

 

Reuse

Here are a few suggestions on what else you can do with baby products

  • Keep them for another baby or pass onto a friend or neighbour
  • Baby rattles are great toys for cats in the SPCA/Animal rescue programme
  • Changing tables can be used for cat bed and bunks in the SPCA/Animal rescue programme
  • Donate it
  • On sell

Disposal

If you are unable to reuse or donate your baby products, the next best practical option is disposal to the regional landfill through your local rubbish collection or drop off at your local transfer station.
