Service Changes for June 4, 2018

Recycling and Rubbish Collection services

There will be no recycling and rubbish collections in the Gore, Mataura, Bluff and Invercargill on Monday 4 June, 2018 due to Queens Birthday Public Holiday.  Collections will be one day later for the rest of the week.

  • If your collection day is normally Monday, please place your bin/s out on Tuesday 5 June for collection.
  • If your collection day is normally Tuesday, please place your bin/s out on Wednesday 6 June for collection.
  • If your collection day is normally Wednesday, please place your bin/s out on Thursday 7 June for collection.
  • If your collection day is normally Thursday, please place your bin/s out on Friday 8 June for collection.
  • If your collection day is normally Friday, please place your bin/s out on Saturday 9 June for collection.

Please note that the collection trucks may be round their routes quicker than usual.  Please have your bin/s out on time or earlier, if possible to ensure collection.  If we have missed your bin, please call your local Council for advice.

Normal collections will resume from Monday June 11, 2018.

Southland District Council - No changes to recycling and rubbish collection services

There are no changes to the recycling and rubbish collections in Southland District.  Recycling and Rubbish collections will be operationg as normal.  If you are unsure about your collection day, please used the "My Collection Day Finder" for more information. 

Transfer Station services

  • Bluff Transfer Station is closed on Queens Birthday, Monday June 4.
  • Gore Transfer Station is closed on Queens Birthday, Monday June 4.
  • All other Council Transfer Stations will be operating their normal hours.
